Fundamentally, KB/M controls are a reason many people choose to game on the PC. Flexibility around key bindings isn't some esoteric game feature, it's a basic expectation on a PC game. You can only make it as little a pain as possible with the aforementioned fixes. In my case it was because of arbitrary restrictions on key bindings.
